Wauseon Schools Gets Involved With Local Businesses

The Wauseon Schools Administration has heard the message from the business community regarding the need for additional workers entering the local workforce across nearly every industry. In response, the school administration has taken a unique step to provide all of their teachers and administrators the opportunity to learn about what is happening in businesses across the county and what skills are required for new employees. This is also an opportunity to share with educators the high-demand employment opportunities across the county.

More than 25 educators and administrators visited North Star BlueScope Steel on Monday, September 25th. The visit included a tour of the steel mill and a panel discussion with several employees. The event was organized by Fulton County Economic Development and was organized in an effort to learn the needs of businesses and opportunities students have to have successful careers locally.
